IMPRINT is a quarter finalist

I just learned that the short screenplay for IMPRINT is a quarter finalist of Outstanding Screenplays competition. That’s great news that it was selected and made it through to the first stage. Congrats to the other entrants!

In other IMPRINT related news, I’ve been putting together a pitch to show potential collaborators / investors what could be in store for this short film – regards to other related products and formats that could also work to expand on the world created for the short. So fingers crossed that it goes down well.

IMPRINT news – new poster and nomination

Our multi award winning, dark horror, short film script for IMPRINT has been given a new lease of life, thanks to Neil Fraser – as he’s really done us proud, by creating such a stunning poster.

I think you’ll agree that the poster is a huge improvement, and Neil is vastly talented. Please visit his website to see more of his art. You may recognise quite a few of his posters, adoring some cracking horror releases, from DVD covers and iTunes etc.

And in honour of this, we’d also like to share that, after a week where the script was rejected twice, it has been selected and is a nominee in the ‘Best Unproduced Short Script’ category of the Austin International Arts Festival. Many thanks for that latest selection and nomination.

So what a better way to celebrate than to add in the winning laurels…

We’re working on bringing the film to life. We’ve already found one of our cast members and we hope to announce some news in the near future about what’s coming up for IMPRINT. But for now hopefully this will do.

And in case you missed it, I wrote a thing – HERE on focus and getting into the creative flow / getting in the right head space for being creative and increasing productivity. If you like it, let me know. And sign up for more.

IMPRINT wins its 10th award

IMPRINT wins its 10th award, at the first year of the Indie Movies Spark Film Festival in Utrecht, Netherlands. I can’t believe that the short horror script has done so well and I am very grateful.

Also this week, IMPRINT was selected and placed in the semi-finals of the Chicago Horror Film Festival – the judging for that festival concludes at the end of September, so fingers crossed. That would be a great festival to travel to, if any of us can do that. But there will definitely be an online aspect to the festival. We can’t wait.

In other news, now that the 2nd vaccine dose is complete, I hope to tap the 5G super powers to help get BLÖDA written. I am 40 pages in… and counting…

A 9th Award for IMPRINT

We’ve just learned that IMPRINT has picked up its 9th award – from the 4th Dimension Independent Film Festival in Indonesia! Wow! We really thought, as the competition was tough, that we would not win. But we’re so very grateful and happy to do so.

This is great news – many thanks.

Awards time – IMPRINT and MR CLEAN

IMPRINT picked up two awards this week and MR CLEAN picked up another – thanks to the Cairo Indie Short Festival and Rotterdam Independent Film Festival. Awesome. And very much appreciated.

This means that MR CLEAN picks up its 9th award and IMPRINT now has 7 awards.

This is great news, and made up for a few more festival rejections this week.
