IMPRINT is selected again

The London Indie Short Festival selected the short script for IMPRINT to their competition this month and also have placed it as a semi-finalist, although the judging isn’t done yet – so fingers crossed that it might progress further. But we’re very happy that the script has made it into competition.

Are there any interested producers out there – keen to see this dark short horror film get made???? – let me know. Especially as it has been noted in other awards, as a strong proof-of-concept for a feature film or TV show concept.-

GRINDSPLOITATION 9 trailer

It looks like a crazy fun and mental release. Can’t wait to see it.

Find out more about MR CLEAN – HERE.

For us, we’re so happy to be included in amongst such crazy shorts, and to realise the last part of the dream behind making the film – achieving some distribution. Although that won’t be the last in regards to MR CLEAN, of that I’m sure. But thanks to the cast and crew and everyone who’s supported us in this crazy journey.

As well as appearing on Troma.tv the film will also be appearing on other platforms, including MUBI – https://mubi.com/films/grindsploitation-9-grindsploitation-9-monstersploitation

The short version is “it’s a successful and fun project which blends moments of gore with hints of ‘old god’ weirdness.” but do read the full review. 🙂

Breaking in – The COLLECTOR

SAW 3, 4 and 5 creators have a new film coming out – THE COLLECTOR – which looks amazing. And well worth a view, in an otherwise Horror bereft cinema schedule.

Check out the clip on the HORROR CHANNEL. Or go to the official website and watch the atmospheric trailer.

“For handyman and ex-con, Arkin, a quiet home and a family on vacation is an “opportunity”. For inside the house lies a jeweler’s safe, and inside the safe is a rare gem – his only hope for repaying his ex-wife’s debt and keeping what’s left of his family intact. Unfortunately for Arkin, inside the house is also a box containing the latest specimen in a collection catalogued in blood, bone and tears – a human specimen packaged as “bait”. While the trap may have already sprung shut on parents Michael and Victoria – cutting short their vacation before it could even begin – the jaws have yet to close on teenage daughter Jill and eight-year old Hannah. As the seconds tick down to midnight, Arkin becomes a reluctant hero trapped by a masked “Collector” in a maze of lethal invention – the Spanish Inquisition as imagined by Rube Goldberg – while trying to rescue the very family he came to rob.”

But, more importantly – SAW creator Darren Lynn Bousman – continues his excellent Blog posts on ‘breaking in’ to the business here:
