IMPRINT is a quarter finalist

I just learned that the short screenplay for IMPRINT is a quarter finalist of Outstanding Screenplays competition. That’s great news that it was selected and made it through to the first stage. Congrats to the other entrants!

In other IMPRINT related news, I’ve been putting together a pitch to show potential collaborators / investors what could be in store for this short film – regards to other related products and formats that could also work to expand on the world created for the short. So fingers crossed that it goes down well.

MR CLEAN’s 1st Scandic region selection

This week we found out that MR CLEAN is an official selection of Swedish International Film Festival (SIFF) – the same festival that COMFORT HIM 60 just won an award at. Awesome! This means that both films have now finally been selected by a Scandinavian region festival and especially here in Sweden. We’re super happy! And congrats to the talented team for helping create a film such as MR CLEAN. Fingers crossed that the film continues to progress through the stages, for a potential chance at a live screening.

I think that also makes it the 28th festival selection. Nice.

Ironically it happened just before another Danish fest snubbed us this morning. lol. So it’s not all selections and wins – just so you know. But it just goes to show, that to some extent it is a numbers game, and is down to personal choice – so what one fest loves, another may give it a lukewarm response. There’s no logic to any of this.

And yes, I know – I must pull my finger out, and when I get a chance to do so next year, I will finish writing the feature film version.

IMPRINT news – new poster and nomination

Our multi award winning, dark horror, short film script for IMPRINT has been given a new lease of life, thanks to Neil Fraser – as he’s really done us proud, by creating such a stunning poster.

I think you’ll agree that the poster is a huge improvement, and Neil is vastly talented. Please visit his website to see more of his art. You may recognise quite a few of his posters, adoring some cracking horror releases, from DVD covers and iTunes etc.

And in honour of this, we’d also like to share that, after a week where the script was rejected twice, it has been selected and is a nominee in the ‘Best Unproduced Short Script’ category of the Austin International Arts Festival. Many thanks for that latest selection and nomination.

So what a better way to celebrate than to add in the winning laurels…

We’re working on bringing the film to life. We’ve already found one of our cast members and we hope to announce some news in the near future about what’s coming up for IMPRINT. But for now hopefully this will do.

And in case you missed it, I wrote a thing – HERE on focus and getting into the creative flow / getting in the right head space for being creative and increasing productivity. If you like it, let me know. And sign up for more.
